In her series, Behind Your Goodbyes, Selina investigates a sense of place from her romantic motherland, Bad Gastein in Austria. Here, she mourns what is lost but finds truth and beauty in the traditions and forests.
In this painting, Friedhof, Selina records a sense of belonging and place, depicted in a tradition to visit the local village cemetery in Bad Gastein, Austria during Christmas Eve, where the whole village gather to light candles to those who have passed away and listen to the carols singers.
