A rare speciality. We chose it because after a huge Austrian dinner, Opa would get this out and wow did it feel like the perfect digestive. Gentian Schnapps is one of the specialities of the Alpine region. The roots of the yellow gentian are dug out of the ground by hand, carefully macerated in alcohol, then matured for several weeks. The macerate is then twice distilled using Prinz's fine distillation process before being stored for several years in various vessels such as glass balloons and stoneware.

Made in the traditional way from Bodensee in Vorarlberg, Austria. Full nut flavour due to self-roasting - beautifully tasteful schnapps from a wooden barrel.
